Even the instructions suggest using a bunch of phone books to flatten-out the surface. Don't listen to them!! - A regular garment IRON at medium heat with some steam works perfectly! After 5 minutes there wasn't a ripple to be found and now each putt rolls true and strait. <br />Great value, and the return mechanism makes it so simple to get high reps. I laid Chicago city phone books and 300 lbs. of weight onto it for a week and they are still there. I can use it but there are still bobbles all up and down it. Just keep the box so you can ship it back because unfortunatly I threw mine out too soon and customer service said there wasn't anything they could do about it!
